The Bible says that God's love in us is not touchy. IF we wear our emotions on our sleeve all the time, we may need to spend more time in HIS presence before we face the day. Our tears can provoke sympathy, (Pity) but it is better to be a giver instead of a taker all the time. People won't want to be around those who are daily, or weekly in this behavior.
