Prayer Requests & Praise Reports

"Make this your common practice: Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you can live together whole and healed. The prayer of a person living right with God is something powerful to be reckoned with." James 5:16 (The Message)

Mike is rejoicing that his son Eric found a new job with career potential!

Debbie is celebrating the great things God is doing among the youth. Read her full comment below. PRAISE BE TO GOD FOR ANSWERED PRAYER! Thank you all for your prayers this past week, they were felt in a mighty way. Continue to pray that all the decision made will not be in vain, but that they will be carried out to the fullest. Thank you all for praying.

Christi has a word of praise for us - I haven't caught you up on things in my life lately, but I just wanted you to know that your prayers are working, and God is blessing my marriage in leaps and bounds! Hubby started counseling this last week, and i believe that is going to make a world of difference in his life, and in our marriage! Please pray with me that he will continue and not make excuses to stop.

We have an update on Warren, the man who was hit by a drunk driver while he was walking down the road - A lot of you have been praying for Warren so I wanted to give you an update. He is doing much better and will go to a rehab this week. He is in a wheelchair now and driving the nurses crazy so I think he will be just fine.

JP has news about what God is doing in India - First of all thanks to all of you and for your prayers and encouragement for the work of God through Beloved's Ministries in INDIA. Friends, this month first week we had a great Gospel Meeting and God blessed this meeting and hundreds of people attend! God Blessed Me and used me to share the gospel to unbelievers and to encourage the believers. During the meeting many were healed and blessed. And God blessed my brothers wedding & family conference in the 2nd week. And also in the beginning of the 3rd week we are thinking how we can re-open the new academic year. To re-open we do not have any thing to buy books and all the needs of school, but we are able to re-open the school the 16th.

Christi checks in with exciting news about her mom! - As you know, recently my mom was diagnosed with cancer; which was not only in her lungs, but had spread into her bones and lymph nodes, as well. This week will be her 3rd round of chemo treatment. Yesterday, they rescanned her body to see if the chemo is working on the cancer. IT IS WORKING!!!!!!!! My daughter, who is with my Mom right now at the Dr's office, just text messaged me and said "IT'S WORKING!!!!" They told her there has definitely been a response to the chemo!!! Praise God!!!!

PRAYING FOR THE NEEDS OF HIS PEOPLE ...

Mary is coming to us asking for prayer for her mother -Mom was in the hospital this week for congestive heart failure. I do not know how to take care of this and I am a nervous wreck. Say prayers for my mom. It is all in God's hands at this point. Say a prayer for me that I will be able to handle what happens.

Mark - Please pray for my family are we are transitioning into student life. In 3 weeks, are moving down to Los Angeles for 2 years to attend the College for Officer Training for The Salvation Army. We are getting rid of most of our material items and saying goodbye to friends, family and leaving an area we have called home for many years of our life.

Jenni is asking for prayers for her family - Satan is attacking my family at it's core. My 16 year old daughter, who is saved, has made an irrevocable, decision in her life. Please pray that God protects her from disease, pregnancy, and seperation from her faith. Please pray that her true Christian friends will step forward and support her through this, and pray that all brokenness will be healed. Please also pray for the extended family (particurally her Maternal Grandparents) who have supported her financially where we couldn't, and bought her vehicle, which is now being reverted back to them. This is a horrible time in our lives, and yet my faith remains strong that God will use this experience and situation for HIS glory. Thank you and God Bless you all!

Robert is asking for prayers - Could you all pray for my family and I? We are are having problems with our downstairs neighbor. He is calling our Landlord almost everyday complaining that we make to much noise. All where doing is walking across the floor. And my kids are playing and they're only 2 and 1yrs old they don't know any better. You can tell them stop but they don't understand what your saying. Just pray that we can get through this and have it stopped and have the Holy Spirit touch this mans heart, and have him understand.

Sue is coming to us with some needs - My step-daughter's Dad (Clifford) is taking treatments for cancer of the tongue and isn't tolerating the treatments very well. He has had several chemo treatments and now starting on radation. ALSO a friend (Becky) who is having chemo for breast cancer. She had a very bad reaction to her first treatment 3 weeks ago and had to go back to the hospital, had another treatment yesterday but i haven't heard yet how that one has gone. Thanks in advance for praying!

Our newest member, Jeanine is asking for prayer for her daughter - Please pray for my family....My 11 year old daughter was diagnosed with juvenile diabetes type 1, she will be insulin dependent for the rest of her life. I am having a hard time maintaining her blood sugar levels and they are usually over 300. She has to endure those insulin injections 5 times a day and still continues to smile and be cheerful. - ALSO - I have been a smoker for over 21 years and am trying to quit. I know the dangers of cigarette smoking and have been trying to stop for over 10 years...I have tried everything, now I am going to put it in the hands of the lord. I already feel the negative health effects.

Sandy is asking us to remember her family in prayer - I would appreciate your prayers for my family. There is so much going on that is in need of prayer. Today we got word that my uncle passed away suddenly, this is my mother's brother, and since my Dad passed away, my aunt and uncle have become very close to my mom. This is going to be hard on my mom.
Thanks so much for the prayers

Christi is asking for prayer - Hey Everyone, a few weeks ago, I submitted a prayer request for my marriage. There is an addiction that my husband is dealing with that keeps rearing it's ugly head! We are setting up an appt w/ our Pastor for some counseling. Please keep him (and I) in your prayers. This has been an ongoing thing for years. We are praying for total freedom in this area!! We want to see the awesome work of God take place in his life, and be a walking testimony to God's faithfulness to us! Thank You!!!!

Debbie is asking for prayer for a co-worker and his wife - I just found out that Judy, the wife of one of my co-workers, has breast cancer. Neither she or Jack are saved. Jack will not talk about it. I believe he is in denial, like he was when his brother had cancer and then died. He refused to visit his brother in the hospital when he was dying. Jack needs our prayers as much as Judy does. Jack has a constant headache, for which the doctors have been unable to find a cause or cure him of them. Pray for physical, emotional and spiritual healing for both Jack and Judy. Thank you.

Denise is asking we remember a family member - My prayers are with my Great Niece ~ she has more Faith than you could imagine...You can surly feel His Mighty Works working through all she meets. I pray for strength so Vivica can have her heart surgery so shes able to have this kidney transplant ~ May God bring the donor he has choosen to Vivica ~ God Be with this Family ~ for they need your Love & Strength in many ways. I Pray This In Your Sons Holy & Precious Name 'Amen (There is a picture of this young lady in the comment section below.)

KeL is asking us to pray for her cousin - My cousin needs a kidney transplant, she is only 7 and she also needs heart surgery! Please pray for direction, I feel so convicted to be screened to see if I am match for her. I would do anything to help her, pray that I am, the healing can then begin for her. This is so scary and totally out of my comfort zone, but like I said, His conviction reigns on me. Afterall, we are called out of our comfort zone so that we may become fruitful and not stagnant! Please, Please Pray for God to do a mighty work within this! (see her picture below)

The Rev. Austin D. Emeson is asking for prayer for his home church Africa. Here is his request - I pray that this message meets you all in good health and condition. I just want to forward this email sent to me from the Secretary of our Church in Sierra concerning the present condition of our Pastor in Sierra Leone. Please people of God, the Man of God there is going through so many afflictions now and he need help from us. At the moment things are not really going well with us in Nigeria too. We also have accomodation problem and I lost my grand mother too. At the moment I am in Togo for the Work of the ministry hoping to receive favour too in order to send my own support to the Pastor. I plead that you read and feel what I am feeling for the Man of God by name Pastor Jackson in Sierra Leone. Kindly send your support as the Lord leads you. No amount is little! I believe that our good God will surely reward you for your support. Read below and see what the Secretary said concerning Pastor Jackson. I wept when I read the message and my heart broke down.

Penni is asking for prayer for a collegue - Please pray for a business colleague of mine, Tom Guthrie. He has been healthy all of his life and recently had a massive heart attack. Open heart surgery consisted of a 4-vessel bypass and a hole patched. His spirits are down right now but I believe his family are Christians. I spoke with his daughter today who it running his business currently and she was excited that I offered to pray for him.

Pastor Ron has checked in with an UPDATE regarding the 12 year old girl with cancer - Update on Tori. If you remember, she had a tumor on her spinal cord. It was found to be cancerous afterall. It is a very fast growing kind. The good news of it is that is supposed to be very treatable. She will be undergoing some pretty radical radiation/chem treatments. Talked to Tori's mom last night. Tori has now developed an infection. They believe it may be from the place where they did the surgery. They left it open so that it would drain. However, the past couple of days, it hasn't drained as it should. They planned to put a shunt in tomorrow (Monday) morning and allow her to return home for a few days before treatments began. We're not sure what's to happen now.

UPDATE from Lisa Ann regarding the man who attends her church who was hit by a car. Warren is holding his own right now. He is still on the ventilator. His brain is still swollen and he isn't responding to anything. He is still with us and God can still heal him. Please continue to pray for him and his family.

Janice has asked for prayer - My husband joined the Navy in Jan of 2008 as a Chaplain. You might say this was a mid live change for him since he joined so late in live. He was in RI for 12 week for training. He came home the end of March just in time for us to move from OK to Ca. We have had him for a month and a half. He leaves at 8 Friday morning for the next 10 week. We have two kids. Our son is 11 and doing good. The hardest is our daughter who is 5. You know Daddy's girl. Please keep DH and us in your prayers. Thank you.

Lori is asking for continued prayers for her granddaughter Maria Her home life continues to be unstable. (The complete text is below in the comments section)

Prophetess Rowena Welch is asking for prayer.

Tori is doing well. Thanks for all your prayers.
My dad has malenoma. It's throughout his body. I'm with him in Lampasas, TX., now. He was sent home with hospice last week. We have VERY little time left with him. We'd appreciate your prayers as we deal with all this. One bit of good news is that God has granted that he not suffer or hurt any. We are extremely grateful for that.

Please remember in your prayers Lori Kneutson and her family. She is the OCC Director for South Alabama and her mother died of a stroke this morning. Also, please pray for the Andy and Lois Thompson family. Andy is a member of the Boone, NC OCC staff and his daughter Molly Elizabeth was stillborn over the weekend. Thank you.

Please pray for Susan's Kids Project Christmas Shoes!
http://heartbeatworld.ning.com/group/susanskidsprojectchristmasshoes
Your donations are valuable but your prayers are priceless. Please spread the word.
Our goal is to raise $1,500 by Nov. 23 to buy 70 pairs of shoes for children in S. Africa. We are 17 days away and 1/3 of the way to our goal.
Most of us have more shoes than we have room in the closet. Boots for winter, flip flops for summer, dress shoes, play shoes, tennis shoes...
But many children in the impoverished village of QwaQwa, South Afria walk to school or daycare in tattered shoes or with bare feet. School is a mile-long journey one way, over a mountain, through the elements.
The Christmas Shoes Project through Susan's Kids (a Jamesville, NC, Christian, 501c3) is raising at least $1,500 to buy a pair of shoes for 70 children. We hope to meet this goal by Nov. 23
You can help buy a pair of shoes for one child for a donation of $10-20.
The children who will receive the shoes come to a Christian Care Center run by Wim and Hylien Van Rensburg and the Changing Tomorrow Children's Foundation. The center offers physical and spiritual nourishment to these children and families who live in such extreme poverty. The center offers preschoolers an education, food, clothing and of course, Christian love. Sunday school is reaching children of all ages and adults with the Gospel.
When we asked what we could give the children for Christmas they asked for shoes, not toys or candy.
Our prayer is for hearts to be touched, and for people to show the love of Jesus by blessing these children with a Christmas beyond their imaginations.
Shoes will be purchased in S. Africa by the Van Rensburgs' for $10-$20 a pair. Any extra funds will be used to purchase Christmas dinner for the children.
We pray that this project will not only bless "Susan's Kids" but that the Gospel will be spread across the world. To God be the Glory!
The Susan Roberson Thompson Memorial Fund (Susan's
Kids) is a registered non-profit, IRS 501c3 Corporation.
To donate online visit www.susanskids.com or mail a check or money or to Susan's Kids, P.O. Box 400, Jamesville, NC 27846. Please note on check or MO that the donation is for Christmas or Shoes
To spend a few minutes with the children at the center visit www.changingtomorrow.net. I've started the Susan's Kids Project Christmas Shoes group at http://heartbeatworld.ning.com/group/susanskidsprojectchristmasshoes
Your donations are valuable but your prayers are priceless. Please join us in donating and praying for this project and spread the word.
We are 1/3 of the way to our $1500 goal ($500 raised so far!) Nov. 23 is the day we hope to have all the money collected.
