THIS WEEK IN THE BOOK ROOM

The Author of this book is a pastor. When she was 12 yrs old she was called to serve. Her life has been filled with flights and falls, ight and darkness, joys and sorrows, peace and troubles. She proved them all through her life. Yet her life has been full of spiritual life. Yoo, Ang Son is the woman who knows truth of what is possible to change and knows how to accept which cannot be changed.

While living in Wonsan, North Korea, the nation was in extreme confusion under the trusteeship of Russia and America. Her Husband had to give up his business and moved South.

He left alone in May of 1947, promising a quick return for the family's sake. Situations drastically worsened, and she had to leave for the South with two little children.

Her 1st child was carried on a guide's back and the younger was on her back. They walked in total darkness climbing Mountain Odai. Her legs were shaking uncontrollable, while thinking the whole time "How can She ever climb up that steep forest mountain at night with a little one on her back" The mountain was notorioius for many poisonous snakes. While extreme nervousness and despair as she was walking in the darkness, all of a sudden she saw a light.

I have read this book many years ago, I believe that she has lead many unhappy woman to Jesus from which all happiness comes from.

The Arab-Israeli conflict makes daily headlines, but few understand the history behind the struggle. In Blood in the Sand, Benny Hinn takes you deep inside the region-the history, politics, and religions-to show you what is happening there and, more importantly, why. Drawing from his deep history in the area, his personal relationships with top Israeli and Arab leaders, and his biblical scholarship, he answers critical questions such as: How did we get into this tragic situation? What are the dangers? What does the Bible say about the future?
With an engaging style and many previously unpublished personal photos, Hinn weaves together memories of his childhood with historical facts and biblical prophecy to take you on a journey from Abraham, Isaac, and Ishmael to the critical situation we face today

Here are a few of my favorite books that might be of interest to you. These have helped me with my walk with the Lord. Some are on topics that I've not heard preached or taught about.
UNUSUAL PROPHECIES BEING FULFILLED By: Perry Stone

I got this book from Chris, I am now just starting to read it. So far like Perry Stone books they are hard to put down! HA- So I am looking forward to reading this book some more!! Thanks Chris!!!

Perry Stone, suggested that the ancient Jewish Temple once stood on the same mountain where the tree of life once grew? What if the Holy of Holies was the actual place where God came down to commune with Adam? What if the back of the Mount of Olives was the location where Adam and Eve sewed fig leave aprons after the fall?

In this dynamic book, Perry will take you on an amazing Hebraic, Biblical and historical journey revealing the link between Jerusalem and the Garden of Eden. You will learn why God chose Jerusalem and why Jesus, the second Adam, had to die on a tree overlooking the Temple Mount.

HANDLING DIFFICULT PEOPLE~WHAT TO DO WHEN PEOPLE TRY TO PUSH YOUR BUTTONS
By: Dr. John Townsend

Let's face it, hard as we try, none of us can avoid contact with difficult people. Some people just seem to savor unnecessary and unhealthy conflict; they don't seem to be happy unless they are driving those around them crazy. Best-selling author and noted relationship expert, Dr. John Townsend, helps us better understand what makes "button pushers" act the way they do-and why they want to elicit a negative emotional and even behavioral response from us. He challenges readers to take personal responsibility and stop responding to difficult people in ways that just don't work! He then offers a whole new repertoire of responses, including specific guidance on body language and verbal scripts, which will allow us to confront and negotiate with "crazy-makers" on a brand new level.
BREEKING FREE~DISCOVER THE VICTORY OF TOTAL SURRENDER~

I just got this book and will start reading it. I'm looking forward to it. Written by Beth Moore, she writes "that she never written anything that meant more to her than the message of this book. The contents of these pages are so important to her, so precious to her that she desperately desire for it to be precious to you and I. Jesus calls us to a place of breaking free. HE woos us to the place of absolute freedom; the only kind of freedom that is real!"

Gail, I saw that new Benny Hinn book at Barnes and Noble a few weeks ago and thought it would be a wonderful read. Since he came from that area, he knows things that the average person doesn't know. He could bring a lot of insight to us about it. I'm hoping to read it sometime, although I don't have it yet.

By the way, since I'm commenting, I should mention that book I'm reading. I'm just about to finish "Heaven" by Randy Alcorn. I HIGHLY recommend this book. It is such a fascinating book on his Biblical research on Heaven and what it might be like there. Sometimes he puts in his own ideas of what might be - which may or may not be true - but it gives one something to think about. It's nearly 500 pages, so it takes a while, but it's so worth the read!

I started a book today that I am just loving so far! It's called "Supernatural Communication: How to pray with power and authority" by Rachel Hickson. I'd never heard of Rachel Hickson before, but since the forward was by Cindy Jacobs and I knew who she was, I bought the book, and I'm SO glad I did. It's an excellent book so far, and I highly recommend it to ALL Christians who desire to learn to pray "better". :)

I just finished a couple of books recently: "The Bait of Satan" by John Bevere, and "The Five Love Langauges" by Gary Chapman. Both are very good books I would also recommend. Now I'm reading, "I Choose To Love" by Bobby Binion Jr. It's a brand new book just released this month. It's good so far, too.

I just finished reading "Lord Change My Attitude Before It's Too Late!" by James MacDonald. I highly recommend this book for everyone, especially if you have trouble with attitudes (yours or other people's). Lots of insight in this book.

Yes, I have heard great things from Beth Moore Bible Studies workbook and her lectures! My schedule does not allow me to get to hear nor do her workbooks. But when that changes, I will be doing that! HA

Breaking Free is an awesome book BUT it is much better to get the workbook and listen to her lectures that go with it. You are missing a treat if you just read the hardback book. There's usually a Beth Moore Bible Study going on somewhere near most people. That is my all time favorite!
